Barack Obama: A Very Confused Man
Barack Obama is a very confused and troubled man. I have felt this for some time, and now my readers, other bloggers, and journalists are saying the same thing, providing confirmation of my suspicions.
Perhaps, it was his upbringing - his parents divorcing when he was only 2 years old and his mother re-marrying a Muslim, which resulted in his attending a Muslim school for two years, learning their beliefs and values, then later attending a Roman Catholic school, which teaches children a very different set of values and beliefs, and following that, attending a variety of secular schools, accompanied by numerous relocations.
It is really difficult to say why he considers himself a Christian when he has a 100% pro-death voting record and is so adamant in killing the innocent, voiceless unborn. Perhaps he is simply trying to fit in somewhere so he has adopted the bizarre ideology of the far left. And, isn't it interesting how he has such a good rapport with the press and comes off looking like "Mr. Nice Guy" when he is in all truth a "baby killer"? He radiates charm when given a canned speech at the Democratic convention, but stutters almost non-stop and can barely utter a complete thought when he debates Alan Keyes.
Take a look at this article from National Radio Pro-life Net and try to analyze his behavior for yourself. There's something not quite right here.
Barack Obama, who recently won the office of Senator from Illinois, announced his candidacy for President of the United States on Saturday. He is a solid pro-abortion person who doesn’t believe that religious views should influence law.
That in itself says something about his character. He publicly espouses to be a Christian, yet states that his religious views or anyone else's religious views should not influence the law. As Christians, we are called to live out our faith beliefs in our daily lives and they are to effect every aspect of our lives - the law included. How you can possibly separate the two? A Christian's first priority is to know, love, and serve God with their whole heart, whole mind and whole soul and to do that by following in the footsteps of Jesus. The laws that are made must be first and foremost subject to God and His will and not in violation of the highest law in the land - His law.
From the Senate web site:
This brings me to my second point. Democracy demands that the religiously motivated translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific, values. It requires that their proposals be subject to argument, and amenable to reason. I may be opposed to abortion for religious reasons, but if I seek to pass a law banning the practice, I cannot simply point to the teachings of my church or evoke God’s will. I have to explain why abortion violates some principle that is accessible to people of all faiths, including those with no faith at all.
Read my lips, Obama: Abortion violates the primary and most important fundamental right - the human being's right to life, which is guaranteed to each one of us in the Constitution. Without this right, we cannot experience any other right. I can't believe that Obama is an attorney and is not even familiar with the Consitution of the United States of America, which our Christian forefathers authored!
Obama, as a Christian, did you ever read the Bible and happen to come across a statement like this:" Thou shalt not kill"?
Alan Keyes asks the most basic questions that cut to the heart of the matter.
This was in response to a statement made by Alan Keyes during the Illinois Senate election.
“Jesus Christ would not vote for Barack Obama. Christ would not vote for Barack Obama because Barack Obama has behaved in a way that it is inconceivable for Christ to have behaved.”
The statement “I may be opposed to abortion for religious reasons” doesn’t show that he is opposed to abortion because it is evil, because it is murder or because it is a moral tragedy. One has to ask, if he has a religious opposition to abortion, why wouldn’t he do everything possible to stop it? Why wouldn’t it influence his policy? Why is it that he supports Roe vs Wade yet claims that he is religiously opposed to abortion?
It makes no sense to me either. It's ridiculous and outrageous. Yes, Obama is a very confused and confusing man. I think he even confuses himself at times, especially when he is faced with the truth.

He certainly is confusing. Barack Obama's stand on Abortion is one of the things that has prevented me from casting my vote for him.
