San Francisco: U.S. Center of Intolerance and Hatred

Now I know why I am so grateful to God for relocating us in Kansas rather than California when my husband was job-hunting a couple of years ago. It seems that in the state of California - more specifically, San Francisco, the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that city employers can completely censor the terms "natural family," "marriage" and "family values" as hate speech. Hate speech? You've got to be kidding! Is there a distortion of the truth here or what? These are sacred words - hate speech?!!! I must be missing something here. I can hardly believe that in this Christian nation of ours that anything like this could ever happen.

The 2003 lawsuit by Rederford and Christy claimed the city's anti-discrimination policy "promotes homosexuality" and "openly denounces Christian values."

When I was in grade school, we learned about Communism and how evil it was. We read comic books that explained that Communists were aetheistic and did not tolerate freedom of religion (They especially hated Catholics because of our strong faith in God.) nor did they respect the family or family values. Communists were determined to break up the family as a social unit. Now, it is like deja vu - only a couple of decades later and that which is the most meaningful to us - our family and our family values are now called "hate speech?" Thank God we don't live in an area that believes that. How intolerant can they be? I thought we had a right to freedom of speech in this country. Remind me never to visit San Francisco - the most intolerant and hate-filled city in the United States. Are residents of San Francisco the "new Communists"?

I just pray that this "disease" doesn't spread to other cities.
