Movie Meme - Can you guess the titles to these movies? Updated

The Curt Jester tagged me with the movie meme.

The rules are:

- Go to IMDB.com and look up 10 of your favourite movies.
- Post five (5) official IMDB "Plot Keywords" for these 10 picks.
- Have your friends guess the movie titles.
- Then tag three people.

1. killing snake, mother-son relationship, sacrifice, trial, scourging

2. 1940's, small town, drug store, bell, Christmas

3. Austria, Nazi, convent, Baroness, singing nun

4. 1900's, trolley, world fair, New York, St. Louis, Missouri

5. Irish American, Broadway New York City, playwright, Patriotism, WWI

6. based on novel, lawyer, African American, murder, small town

7. holy vision, 1850's, France, miracle, nun

8. snow, fur coat, young girl, self sacrifice, lion

9. Friendship between men, rain, tap dancing, dancing in the street, chorus girl

10. Tennessee, farm, WWI, conscientious objector, Appalachia

I tag the following three people: Esther, Leticia, and Jay Anderson. Also, anyone else who is interested in this meme, help yourself.

Now, can anyone identify these? I will give you a hint - most of these are classics.

*** Update: Since 5. is difficult and no one has guessed it yet, here's two more clues: dancer, Vaudeville.

  7. Shucks, Jean! Too bad I didn't see this post earlier! I actually knew "Yankee Doodle Dandy", I saw it as a girl and it made a deep impression on me, being Irish American, and just saw it for the second time recently.
    Thanks for the tag!
