Today's Prayer Intentions

Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, God makes all things new. With confidence in the Father's saving power we now pray:

For the Holy Father's special intentions and for the safety of his upcoming trip to Brazil.

For all our Cardinals and Bishops, especially for Cardinal George, (at this difficult time) that the Spirit of God will fill their hearts and minds with wisdom, courage, strength, and love, so that they will remain steadfast and faithful to their vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, and act as wise and prudent leaders, making good decisions for the people of God in accordance with His holy will. Mary, Mother of Good Counsel. pray for them!

For our President and Congress, that the Spirit of God will fill them with wisdom so that they will act with justice and compassion, especially toward those who are most oppressed in our society, the voiceless victims who are denied the precious gift of life - the unborn.

For all those who have suffered and lost loved ones in the recent tornadoes throughout our country, especially those in Greensburg, Kansas. For the repose of the souls who have died.

For complete recovery for Heather from brain surgery.

For Maddy and her parents.

For healing for Nigel, a multi-handicapped young man who is coughing up blood from his lungs again.

For conversion and healing for all those who are trapped in the culture of death.

For a successful job search for Bill.

For all previous prayer intentions mentioned here and for those around St. Blog's.

Loving Father, we rejoice to be Your people. Wipe every tear from our eyes and keep us close to Your Son. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
