Today's Intercessory Prayers

Let us pray to the Lord who is the origin, companion, and goal of life's journey.

Stay with us, Lord.

Lord Jesus, You accompanied your doubting disciples on the road to Emmaus:
Sustain your church in our daily journey of faith.

You do not disappoint those who hope in Your mercy: remember that we are slow to believe, and strenghten our faith.

You guide those who walk in darkness: teach Your paths to all those who seek the road to life.

For the special intentions of the Holy Father.

For Bill's job interview this morning. Come Holy Spirit, enlighten him and guide him. Fill him with peace, confidence, and fortitude. Be his advocate and give him wisdom. Open the eyes and ears of those who will interview him and reveal to them his unique talents and gifts. St. Joseph, the worker, pray for him! Mary, Queen of peace, comfort him! Lord, have mercy! Jesus, we trust in you.

For the success of Rose's surgery today, which is scheduled for 7:15 a.m. For wisdom for the surgeon and for the hospital staff. For compassionate and tender loving care, we pray to the Lord.

For Linda W., who is in the final stages of liver cancer.

For the fruitfulness of the 40 days for Life campaign.

For safe travel for Chris and Mike and for their special intentions.

For an end to abortion and all sins against life.

For all the prayer intentions at One Came Back.

For the conversion of all those ensnared in the culture of death.

For the success of Bella.

For all previous prayer intentions mentioned here and for those of all my readers.

Our Father...

O Lord, as we travel through this day of our life, our strength is in You; in our hearts are the roads to our eternal destination, the place where You dwell forever with Your people in joy and peace. Sustain us as we pass through the bitter valleys of suffering; shield us as dangers threaten; let us rejoice in the springs of living water which refresh us on our way. And keep us faithful until journey's end, through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
