Governor Sarah Palin meets wih Sean Hannity in Ohio for her first cable exclusive interview on Fox News.

Palin on Reforming the Economy - In the first video - Governor Palin discusses her family's reaction to her selection as VP running mate by John Mc Cain and her daughters' unanimous approval, the reforms that are needed in our country and economy, and the abuses and violation of public trust by Wall Street. Palin defines the problem as OPM -- "spending other people's money". Sean brings up the fact that 354 Lawmakers received money from the bailout of Fanny and Freddie and the second top recepient of the funds Barack Obama, one of the good ol' boys, who took the taxpayers' money. (According to OpenSecrets.com, Barack Obama received $126,349 in in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac campaign contributions, including contributions from PACs and individuals since being elected to the Senate in 2004.)

Team of Mavericks -- In the second video, she discusses how she has cut taxes in Alaska, where there is no state sales tax, and she returns to the people of Alaska a share in resources back to the people. She acknowledged that "everybody benefits when the government takes less money from the people."

According to Palin, Barack Obama has had "94 opportunities to be on the side of the American taxpayer and 94 times, he has chosen to be on the opposite side. He could have voted for either tax cuts or tax increases. He has made the wrong choice 94 times."


Ruffling Feathers -- In the third video, Palin talks on mixing up Alaskan politics, her role in a McCain Administration, and energy independence.

Governor Palin did an excellent job in this compelling interview. She seemed poised, confident, and strong in answering Hannity's questions. In stark contrast to ABC's Charlie Gibson, Hannity behaved in a professional, non-condescending manner, treating her with the respect she deserves. I was very impressed with her ability to clearly define what the problems were in each of the categories and her problem-solving skills. I have yet to hear such concrete and dynamic ideas for change from the opposition who are part of what needs changing in our government. They are the ones in cahoots with the huge corporations, making money off of the taxpayers. Sarah is not afraid to speak the truth nor to live the truth -- that's what I love about her!

Today is the feast of Saint Michael de Sanctis, also known as St. Michael of the Saints, a Spanish Discalced Trinitarian priest, the patron of cancer patients. Michael Argemir was born on September 29, 1591 at Vic, Catalonia, Spain. At age 6, he told his parents that he planned to become a monk and began modeling his life after Saint Francis of Assisi. Michael’s parents died when he was about ten years old. He then served as an apprentice with a local merchant. During this apprenticeship, he continued his fervent devotion to the Lord, especially to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Saint Gerard of Brogne: Patron of Abbots

St. Gerard was born to a noble family in Staves, Belgium, in 895. He descended from a royal line of military men and at first felt a share in this call to arms. He trained for the army and, as a page of the count of Namur, he was sent on a special mission to the French court. There, Gerard realized that he was being called to the monastic life. He stayed in France and joined the Benedictines of St. Denis, abandoning his noble birthright and all his worldly possessions. He spent eleven years in France as a monk before becoming a priest. Following his ordination, he left for Belgium in order to found a new abbey on his own estate of Brogne. He was its abbot for twenty-two years and during that period was instrumental in introducing St. Benedict's Rule into numerous houses in Flanders, Lorraine and Champagne.He became known for his engaging sweetness of temper, his strict observance of the Rule of St. Benedict and for the replacement of lukewarm religious practice with true piety.
