A Simple Woman's Daybook -- October 13, 2008

Visit Peggy's to find out what the other women are thinking and doing today.

For Today...

Outside my Window...it's rainy, dark, and quite chilly in contrast to the beautiful weekend we had.

I am thinking...what a busy, but exciting weekend we had!

I am thankful for...the special privilege to have attended the Right to Life of Kansas conference this past weekend-- a very generous soul offered us complimentary tickets.

From the kitchen...lamb chops, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots in a light cheese sauce, and a baked potatoes.

I am wearing... my nightgown and bathrobe, as I have been a little under the weather today.

I am reading...Spero by Anthony Horvath, my devotionals, the Scriptures, and several books on the saints.

I am hoping...to get all my major writing projects done this week.

I am creating...nothing special at the moment.

Around the house...lots to do...laundry to fold and put away, vacuuming, dishes, etc.

One of my favorite things...is to curl up with a good book and my cat(s) on a cool, rainy day like today.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...lots of work to catch up on and a wellness gathering to plan for later on this month. I'm looking forward to square dance class -- hope I'm up to it.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

On the left, the beautiful lady in the red dress, is Mary Turner, the founder of LifeVoice, Inc. -- an organization that tells the truth about contraception, with love. This group, which is located in WI, actually goes from store to store or business to business talking to people about contraception. They have also launched the new "Contraception No More" Campaign (inspired by the "Silent No More" campaign) in which women and men will be speaking out about the pain they have suffered as post-contraception users by witnessing with signs stating, "I regret using birth control" at key events and sites. That's me on the right. This was taken at the Right to Life of Kansas conference.
