Washington, DC

WHAT: Deal Hudson, the director of InsideCatholic.com and the Morley Institute for Church & Culture will be the keynote speaker at American Life League’s Training and Activism Week during the nation’s largest annual pro-life demonstration.
TAW will bring together a summit of human personhood leaders and activists to launch the nationwide effort NARAL Pro-Choice America described as “the strategy that could outlaw abortion.”
WHEN: January 21, 2010, 3 p.m.
WHERE: Washington Court Hotel 525 New Jersey Avenue Northwest, Washington, D.C. 20001

WHO: Deal Hudson will join a line-up of presenters to address the science, law, philosophy, and grassroots activism behind the unprecedented phenomenon of the burgeoning human personhood movement including:
Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., pastoral associate with Priests for Life and founder of King for America
Keith Mason, Personhood USA
Rev. Johnny Hunter,  Life Education and Resource Network
Jill Stanek, Pro-Life Pulse
Rev. Clenard Childress,  BlackGenocide.org
Rev. Stephen Broden
Robert Muise, Esq.,  Thomas More Law Center
And Dr. Dianne Irving, Georgetown University Professor and Medical Ethicist
As a longtime Catholic author, political activist and advisor to President George W. Bush, Hudson will speak on human personhood in the context of Catholic Social Teaching.
WHY:  In the last year, human personhood efforts have swept the nation as a radically re-ingnited movement for human rights for the human person from his or her beginning of biological development. Eight states have formally launched human personhood amendment campaigns to their state constitutions and dozens more are organizing initiatives of varying degrees from education of the public to state legislatures to amendments to state constitutions.. The Human Personhood Conference at American Life League’s TAW will bring together leaders who look to establish human rights for all human beings because, contrary to NARAL Pro-Choice America's scare tactics, the fact is every human being deserves equal rights under the law and in the culture.
