A reason to be joyful

This Passage from Isaiah 61 in Today's Morning Prayer touched my heart:

I will rejoice with joy in the Lord,
and my spirit shall be joyful in my God,
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation
and wrapped me round with the robe of justice,
like a bridegroom decked with a crown,
like a bride adorned with her jewels...

You shall be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord,
a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

In the hands of God we are like precious, valuable jewels in that we are so loved, protected, and treasured by Him that we can't help but feel safe and secure when we place all our cares in His hands. He has bestowed upon us every treasure -- every grace-- that we need to be transformed into His image. He gives us every grace that we need to persevere in the trials of this life and to rise above them. We are precious in His eyes and no one can take that away from us.
