Blessed Teresa of Calcutta

Mother Teresa and the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Today marks the feast day of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta - a beautiful servant of God who is one of our most celebrated mothers.

In her own words:

“By blood, I am Albanian. By citizenship, an Indian. By faith, I am a Catholic nun. As to my calling, I belong to the world. As to my heart, I belong entirely to the Heart of Jesus.”

"God still loves the world and He sends you and me to be His love and His compassion to the poor.”

  1. We named our second daughter after Blessed Teresa and she is a blessing too! :) Blessed Teresa, pray for us! Our priest gave a fine homily about her to all of the school children today...they should all know so much more now! :) He encouraged them onward to follow in some of her footsteps. :)

  2. Thank you, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, for teaching my family and me, that God loves us so much; and that loving others, as Jesus asked us, provides us a Glorious Joy and Happiness that can only be found in Holiness! God Bless you and God Bless the Missionaries of Charities!
    Peace.
