Washington, DC, October 20 /Christian Wire Service/-- “America gave us a choice; now please hear our voice,” said Molly White, host of Faces Of Abortion, a television show featuring women hurt by abortion. Dedicated to being silent no more, they are sharing their stories of the devastation of abortion to them and their families. The cost has been high and long-lasting: unresolved grief, fear, shame, hopelessness, physical and emotional problems, broken relationships and marriages, and destructive and addictive behaviors. Research and personal accounts now document the tragic effects of abortion over 31 years since abortion became legal.

“Guests on these cutting-edge shows reveal the nation’s most tragic secret, giving a face and a voice to abortion,” said Molly. The show is unique in that it is the first dedicated to sharing the personal tragedy of abortion by those who, through sworn testimony, are committed to overturning the 1973 Supreme Court cases that brought legal abortion-on-demand to America – Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. They want America and the courts to know and grasp an important truth: Abortion hurts women.

“These stories change hearts and minds. They reveal the painful, silent struggle most parents of aborted children face in the aftermath of abortion,” said Joyce Zounis, Director of Women’s Outreach, who longs for her seven aborted children. “It was 13 long years before I could breathe a word about my abortions to anyone. Recovery from the devastation of abortion and grief includes telling our stories – we are silent no more,” she said.

Faces Of Abortion, produced by Operation Outcry: Silent No More, airs on Angel One on the Sky Angel Satellite System three times weekly.
“I had several difficulties following the abortion which put my life in danger, not to mention the depression that followed later,” said Amy Burns, a guest on Faces Of Abortion. “I believed I was making the best decision at the time, but now I know my 'right to choose' was a lie.”

Voices Of Abortion is a live Internet talk-show at www.crusaderadio.com, airing five times weekly. Guests share the aftermath of abortion and recovery, and listeners are invited to call with comments or questions. The hour-long show also features experts, news, commentary, and legal updates on the Roe and Doe cases.

Saint Michael de Sanctis: Patron of Cancer Patients

Today is the feast of Saint Michael de Sanctis, also known as St. Michael of the Saints, a Spanish Discalced Trinitarian priest, the patron of cancer patients. Michael Argemir was born on September 29, 1591 at Vic, Catalonia, Spain. At age 6, he told his parents that he planned to become a monk and began modeling his life after Saint Francis of Assisi. Michael’s parents died when he was about ten years old. He then served as an apprentice with a local merchant. During this apprenticeship, he continued his fervent devotion to the Lord, especially to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Saint Gerard of Brogne: Patron of Abbots

St. Gerard was born to a noble family in Staves, Belgium, in 895. He descended from a royal line of military men and at first felt a share in this call to arms. He trained for the army and, as a page of the count of Namur, he was sent on a special mission to the French court. There, Gerard realized that he was being called to the monastic life. He stayed in France and joined the Benedictines of St. Denis, abandoning his noble birthright and all his worldly possessions. He spent eleven years in France as a monk before becoming a priest. Following his ordination, he left for Belgium in order to found a new abbey on his own estate of Brogne. He was its abbot for twenty-two years and during that period was instrumental in introducing St. Benedict's Rule into numerous houses in Flanders, Lorraine and Champagne.He became known for his engaging sweetness of temper, his strict observance of the Rule of St. Benedict and for the replacement of lukewarm religious practice with true piety.
