Prayer Intentions - Updated

Today I am praying for the following intentions:

*** Today is the second anniversary of fellow Oblate and friend Michelle Tudor's heavenly birth. I am praying for her family and all those who miss her so much. She was a beautiful lady who loved the Lord and Our Blessed Mother. Quite suddenly, this mother of nine, still very young, left us and went to her Heavenly reward.

For Christopher, who is discerning a vocation to the priesthood.

For M.'s job interview for a Catechetics teaching position today.

That Sr. LR will receive a certain important document by this Friday.

For J., a 14-month-old child whose face is swollen on one side and his pediatrician does not know the cause.

For Bill's medical tests on Friday - an accurate diagnosis and treatment.

For Marian for good medical test results today and for healing of her health problems.

For peace and comfort for Joan on the loss of her spiritual director and for the repose of his soul.

Healing and strength for Theresa.

For Amy and Dave and for their personal prayer intentions.

For a holy Lent for each of us:

That this season of Lent will be a time of greater prayer, fasting, and almsgiving for each of us and for all the Church.

That these days of Lent will be a time marked by greater efforts at peacemaking throughout the world.

That this Lent through our sacrifices hearts and souls will return to the Lord, especially those who are ensnared in the culture of death.

That God will repair all the broken relationships in our lives and transform our hearts into merciful, gentle, and forgiving hearts.

That through our Lenten prayer and fasting, there will be an end to abortion, same sex marriages, cloning, embryonic stem cell research, and cloning.

That during this Lenten season, God will rescue those who live at a distance from Him because of self-absorption or sin.

That each of us will be generous in our almsgving this Lent and especially attentive to the needs of the poor, the homeless, the unemployed, and women who are involved in crisis pregnancies.

For all previous prayer intentions listed here.

Lord, have mercy on us.
