Catholic World News: Young English teens receive morning-after pills

- English pharmacists are providing the "morning-after" pill to young teenage girls without their parents' knowledge or consent....Norman Wells, the director of the Family Education Trust, complained that the policy of providing young girls with the morning-after pill is a part of "the systematic removal of every restraint which in previous generations served as a disincentive to under-age sexual activity." He added that there is no evidence to support the claim that use of the pill will cut the rate of surgical abortion.

Operation Rescue: First Amendment Victory! Gwinnett County Drops Charges Against Truth Truck Driver

Atlanta, GA – Gwinnett County Solicitor General Rosanna Szabo announced Monday that the driver of Operation Rescue’s Truth Truck, Bob Roethisberger, who was arrested and jailed over Thanksgiving weekend will not be facing charges.

Szabo stated that the display of the graphic photos of aborted babies depicted on the Truth Truck banners , “as shocking and offensive as they are - does not constitute ‘obscene and vulgar or profane language’ (emphasis in original) as specifically prohibited by this statute.” Atlanta, GA – Gwinnett County Solicitor General Rosanna Szabo announced Monday that the driver of Operation Rescue’s Truth Truck, Bob Roethisberger, who was arrested and jailed over Thanksgiving weekend will not be facing charges.

Tiller Grand Jury Set to Convene January 8, 2008

Wichita, KS – A grand jury investigation into suspected criminal wrong-doing by late-term abortionist George R. Tiller has been scheduled to convene in Sedgwick County on January 8. Retired District Court Judge Paul Buchanan will oversee the investigation.
