Abortion Madness continues in Kansas
Tiller's illegal activities and the political corruption surrounding it continue to be the hot topic in Kansas these days. Of course, abortions are out of control and will continue to be as long as Tiller controls the politicians in this state. This post from Operation Rescue gives us an idea of how things at the Tiller late-term abortion mill have been out of control.
Here are some excerpts from that post:
The mother of one woman in her 29th week of pregnancy called Mark Geitzen of the Kansas Coalition for Life to ask for intervention on behalf of her daughter. According to the mother, her daughter recently married a man from another country who was physically abusive. The man was forcing her daughter to have a third-trimester abortion. Apparently the pregnant woman, who had been active in the pro-life movement in another state, did not want the abortion, but was complying out of fear severe beatings from her husband.
Geitzen reported the call to Operation Rescue, who notified the police of the possibility that the woman could be in physical danger and at risk for a forced third-trimester abortion. Kansas law states that such abortions can only take place if the pregnancy endangers the life of the mother or would produce a “substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function.”
In a second incident, a distraught mother told pro-lifers at the abortion clinic that her daughter was getting a late-term abortion because she did not want her pregnancy to ruin her recent “tummy tuck” surgery. That certainly sounds like it meets the state criteria for having a late-term abortion.
Evidence has surfaced recently that Tiller is committing late-term abortions in violation of the law. Attorney General Paul Morrison has said he will announce the outcome of his “investigation” of Tiller by the end of the week, but has called previous efforts to hold Tiller accountable to the Kansas ban on post-viability abortions a waste of taxpayer money. Morrison’s political campaign benefited from an estimated $1 million worth of campaign calls and mailings linked to Tiller.
Morrison has also cleared Planned Parenthood in Overland Park of any criminal wrongdoing. That abortion clinic was under investigation for illegal abortions and concealment of child rape.
But of course, he wouldn't dare charge his supporters with criminal wrongdoing. After all, Planned Parenthood in Overland Park was the site of political phone banking and letter stuffing on multiple dates prior to the last election (that was surely designed to help Paul Morrison defeat Phill Kline), according to sources.
Kansas City Catholic warns us not to get our hopes up about Morrison prosecuting Tiller. As has been reported at Lifenews.com :
Pro-life groups say Morrison, who backs abortion, is not acting faithfully in the case because of political help from campaign mailings and phone calls linked to Tiller and political action committees he supports.
Kansans for Life has been upset that Morrison's office has never contacted McHugh, the lead expert witness in the case Kline filed, for more information.
"Paul Morrison claiming that he is properly investigating the charges against Tiller, while ignoring the key expert witness, and Tiller claiming cooperation, while his lawyer insults that witness ... tells us all we need to know about the quality of this so-called investigation, and why Tiller remains one of the biggest political donors in Kansas history," KFL director Mary Kay Culp said.
