Newly Proposed Legislation Forcing Doctors to Become Destroyers
Madison, WI, September 6 (CNA).-Newly proposed legislation in Wisconsin could force doctors to act against their conscience and give emergency contraception to rape victims, says Pro-Life Wisconsin.
This is more than just bad medicine if these bills are passed. A "medication" with such serious side effects should never be solely the decision of the woman. It would be medically unethical for a doctor to prescribe this to a woman - any woman - to begin with, as it has the potential to destroy the lives of both the woman and her baby.
No doctor in his/her right mind possessing an ounce of morals would prescribe this "medication" for a woman. First of all, the MAP is a megadose of synthetic estrogen and progesterone hormones and we all know that megadoses of hormones are very dangerous. Even low to medium doses of estrogen have been linked to breast cancer (which is why the majority of OB/GYN's are no longer prescribing it for their patients.) If lower doses of estrogen have been proven to be harmful to women, just think how much more harmful megadoses are. High doses of estrogen routinely produce cramps, nausea, vomiting; often serious--even life-threatening--side effects occur with the morning after pill: blood clots, heart attacks, and strokes.
Calling the morning after pill "contraception" is totally misleading: While it can have a contraceptive effect, most of the literature on it confirms that it is more likely to act as an abortifacient if fertilization has taken place.
Those individuals who dare to call themselves physicians (who have taken the Hippocratic oath) after prescribing this lethal "medication" should honestly come out and reveal what they really are - "destroyers of human life."
How many Dr's would want to put up this shingle?
Let's let our pro-life physicians act according to their own consciences and not according to a set of destructive laws imposed upon them by the culture of death.

First, your health care in this country is dictated by insurance companies, then by know-nothing lawmakers. When are people going to be able to receive quality health care based upon their health needs that does not violate their consciences nor force physicians to pracitice in a manner that is unethical?
ReplyDeleteThe majority of people in this country still value life. Those who don't should not engage in activity that results in reproduction.
I think it is outrageous that a Dr. would be forced into prescribing this death pill for women. What are these lawmakers thinking? What makes them think they are God?
ReplyDeleteA doctor - patient relationship is a partnership and just like all doctors don't perform abortions, not all doctors will want to prescribe this pill.
Thank God there are still some doctors left with a conscience!
Why do people spend all this time and money to get an education, pass the exam just for a medical practice? Insurance companies (and their accountants especially at HMO's) tell the physician what he may not do, an now no-nothing politicians tell the doctor what he must do. I think the education a doctor receives is just a waste of money. Why not just do away with doctors completely?
